What’s Our City Council Doing?
LFP GOV Watch “Council Watch”
LFP GOV Watch’s “Council Watch” monitors the City Council’s actions on a regular basis and reports back to citizens about monthly City Council meetings, Work Sessions, Council Committee of the Whole meetings, and Budget and Finance Committee meetings.
This is accomplished by volunteers from our community who sign up to attend City Council meetings on a monthly basis as their schedule allows, and take notes on issues of interest. Observations are edited, facts are checked, and a “Council Highlights” report is emailed out to residents on our mailing list. When an issue arises that may require citizen action, LFP GOV Watch sends out a News Alert.
